The man Adam named his wife Eve because she would become the mother of all who live.
Adam and Eve had a son. Then Eve said, “I'll name him Cain because I got him with the help of the Lord .”
Adam and his wife had another son. They named him Seth, because they said, “God has given us a son to take the place of Abel, who was killed by his brother Cain.”
God created men and women to be like himself. He gave them his blessing and called them human beings. The following is a list of the descendants of Adam, the first man:
When Adam was 130, he had a son who was just like him, and he named him Seth. Adam had more children
the river stopped flowing, and the water started piling up at the town of Adam near Zarethan. No water flowed toward the Dead Sea, and the priests stood in the middle of the dry riverbed near Jericho while everyone else crossed over.
Adam was the father of Seth, and his descendants were Enosh, Kenan, Mahalalel, Jared, Enoch, Methuselah, Lamech, and Noah, who had three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
At a place named Adam, you by breaking our agreement.
Enosh, and Seth. The family of Jesus went all the way back to Adam and then to God.
Adam sinned, and that sin brought death into the world. Now everyone has sinned, and so everyone must die.
Yet death still had power over all who lived from the time of Adam to the time of Moses. This happened, though not everyone disobeyed a direct command from God, as Adam did. In some ways Adam is like Christ who came later.
Death ruled like a king because Adam had sinned. But that cannot compare with what Jesus Christ has done. God has treated us with undeserved grace, and he has accepted us because of Jesus. And so we will live and rule like kings.
Everyone was going to be punished because Adam sinned. But because of the good thing that Christ has done, God accepts us and gives us the gift of life.
Adam disobeyed God and caused many others to be sinners. But Jesus obeyed him and will make many people acceptable to God.
Just as we will die because of Adam, we will be raised to life because of Christ.
Adam brought death to all of us, and Christ will bring life to all of us.
The first man was named Adam, and the Scriptures tell us that he was a living person. But Jesus, who may be called the last Adam, is a life-giving spirit.
After all, Adam was created before Eve,
and the man Adam wasn't the one who was fooled. It was the woman Eve who was completely fooled and sinned.
Enoch was the seventh person after Adam, and he was talking about these people when he said:

And He taught Adam the nature of all things; then He placed them before the angels, and said: ''Tell Me the nature of these if you are right.''
He said: ''O Adam! tell them their natures.'' When he had told them, Allah said: ''Did I not tell you that I know the secrets of heaven and earth, and I know what you reveal and what you conceal?''
And behold, We said to the angels: ''Bow down to Adam:'' and they bowed down: not so Iblis: he refused and was haughty: he was of those who reject Faith.
We said: ''O Adam! you and your wife dwell in the Garden; and eat of the bountiful things therein as (where and when) you will, but do not approach this tree, or you run into harm and transgression.''
Then Adam learnt from his Lord words of inspiration, and his Lord turned toward him; for He is Oft-Returning, Most Merciful.
Allah chose Adam and Noah, the family of Abraham, and the family of 'Imran above all people, -
The similitude of Jesus before Allah is as that of Adam; He created him from dust, then said to him: ''Be'': and he was.
Recite to them the truth of the story of the two sons of Adam. Behold! they each presented a sacrifice (to Allah): it was accepted from one, but not from the other. Said the latter: ''Be sure I will slay you.'' ''Surely,'' said the former, ''Allah accepts of the sacrifice of those who are righteous.
It is We Who created you and gave you shape; then We bade the angels bow down to Adam, and they bowed down; not so Iblis; he refused to be of those who bow down.
''O Adam! you and your wife dwell in the Garden, and enjoy (its good things) as you wish: but do not approach this tree, or you run into harm and transgression.''
O you Children of Adam! We have bestowed raiment upon you to cover your shame, as well as to be an adornment to you. But the raiment of righteousness, - that is the best. Such are among the Signs of Allah, that they may receive admonition!
O you Children of Adam! let not Satan seduce you, in the same manner as he got your parents out of the Garden, stripping them of their raiment, to expose their shame: for he and his tribe watch you from a position where you cannot see them: We made the Evil Ones friends (only) to those without Faith.
O Children of Adam! wear your beautiful apparel at every time and place of prayer: eat and drink: but do not waste by excess, for Allah does not love the wasters.
O you Children of Adam! whenever there come to you Messengers from amongst you, rehearsing My Signs to you, - those who are righteous and mend (their lives), - on them shall be no fear nor shall they grieve.
When your Lord drew forth from the Children of Adam - from their loins - their descendants, and made them testify concerning themselves, (saying): ''Am I not your Lord (Who cherishes and sustains you)?'' - they said: ''Yes! We do testify!'' (This), lest you should say on the Day of Judgment: ''Of this we were never mindful'':
Behold! We said to the angels: ''Bow down to Adam'': They bowed down except Iblis: he said, ''Shall I bow down to one whom You created from clay?''
We have honored the sons of Adam; provided them with transport on land and sea; given them for sustenance things good and pure; and conferred on them special favors, above a great part of Our Creation.
Behold! We said to the angels, ''Bow down to Adam'': they bowed down except Iblis. He was one of the Jinns, and he broke the Command of his Lord. Will you then take him and his progeny as protectors rather than Me? And they are enemies to you! Evil would be the exchange for the wrong-doers!
Those were some of the prophets on whom Allah bestowed His Grace, - of the posterity of Adam, and of those whom We carried (in the Ark) with Noah, and of the posterity of Abraham and Israel - of those whom We guided and chose. Whenever the Signs of (Allah) Most Gracious were rehearsed to them, they would fall down in prostrate adoration and in tears.
We had already, beforehand, taken the covenant of Adam, but he forgot: and We found on his part no firm resolve.
