and said to Abram: “I bless you in the name of God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth.
When God heard the boy crying, the angel of God called out to Hagar from heaven and said, “Hagar, why are you worried? Don't be afraid. I have heard your son crying.
But the Lord 's angel shouted from heaven, “Abraham! Abraham!” “Here I am!” he answered.
The Lord 's angel called out from heaven a second time:
in the name of the Lord , who rules heaven and earth, that you won't choose a wife for my son Isaac from the people here in the land of Canaan.
The Lord who rules heaven brought me here from the land where I was born and promised that he would give this land to my descendants forever. When you go back there, the Lord will send his angel ahead of you to help you find a wife for my son.
God will bless you, my son, with dew from heaven and with fertile fields, rich with grain and grapes.
In a dream he saw a ladder that reached from earth to heaven, and God's angels were going up and down on it.
Then Jacob became frightened and said, “What a frightening place! It must be the house of God and the gateway to heaven.”
The Lord said to Moses, “I will send bread down from heaven like rain. Tell the people to go out each day and gather only enough for that day. That's how I will see if they obey me.
But the hills and valleys in the promised land are watered by rain from heaven,
His commands aren't in heaven, so you can't excuse yourselves by saying, “How can we obey the Lord 's commands? They are in heaven, and no one can go up to get them, then bring them down and explain them to us.”
The fire blazed up toward the sky, and the Lord 's angel went up toward heaven in the fire. Manoah and his wife bowed down low when they saw what happened.
Our Lord will be broken in pieces when you fight back with thunder from heaven. You will judge the whole earth and give power and strength to your chosen king.
You reached down from heaven, and you lifted me from deep in the ocean.
Solomon stood facing the altar with everyone standing behind him. Then he lifted his arms toward heaven
I am your servant, and the people of Israel belong to you. So whenever any of us look toward this temple and pray, answer from your home in heaven and forgive our sins.
Listen from heaven and decide who is right. Then punish the guilty person and let the innocent one go free.
listen from your home in heaven. Forgive them and bring them back to the land you gave their ancestors.
listen from your home in heaven and forgive them. The people of Israel are your servants, so teach them to live right. And please send rain on the land you gave them to be theirs forever.

He said: ''O Adam! tell them their natures.'' When he had told them, Allah said: ''Did I not tell you that I know the secrets of heaven and earth, and I know what you reveal and what you conceal?''
But the transgressors changed the word from that which had been given them; so We sent on the transgressors a plague from heaven, for that they infringed (Our command) repeatedly.
Did you think that you would enter Heaven without Allah testing those of you who fought hard (in His Cause) and remained steadfast?
They (also) said: ''Allah took our promise not to believe in a Messenger unless he showed us a sacrifice consumed by fire (from heaven).'' Say: ''There came to you Messengers before me, with Clear Signs and even with what you ask for: why then did you slay them, if you speak the truth?''
If any do deeds of righteousness, - be they male or female - and have faith, they will enter Heaven, and not the least injustice will be done to them.
The People of the Book ask you to cause a book to descend to them from heaven: indeed they asked Moses for an even greater (miracle), for they said: ''Show us Allah in public,'' but they were dazed for their presumption, with thunder and lightning. Yet they worshipped the calf even after Clear Signs had come to them; even so We forgave them; and gave Moses manifest proofs of authority.
Behold! the Disciples said: ''O Jesus the son of Mary! can your Lord send down to us a Table set (with viands) from heaven?'' Jesus said: ''Fear Allah, if you have faith.''
Jesus the son of Mary said: ''O Allah our Lord! send us from heaven a Table set (with viands), that there may be for us - for the first and the last of us - a solemn festival and a Sign from You; and provide for our sustenance, for You are the best Sustainer (of our needs).''
To those who reject Our Signs and treat them with arrogance, no opening will there be of the gates of heaven, nor will they enter the Garden, until the camel can pass through the eye of the needle: such is Our reward for those in sin.
If the people of the towns had but believed and feared Allah, We should indeed have opened out to them (all kinds of) blessings from heaven and earth; but they rejected (the truth), and We brought them to book for their misdeeds.
But the transgressors among them changed the word from that which had been given them so We sent on them a plague from heaven. For that they repeatedly transgressed.
Remember He covered you with a sort of drowsiness, to give you calm as from Himself, and He caused rain to descend on you from heaven, to clean you therewith, to remove from you the stain of Satan, to strengthen your hearts, and to plant your feet firmly therewith.
In whatever business you may be, and whatever portion you may be reciting from the Qur'an, - and whatever deed you (mankind) may be doing, - We are Witnesses thereof when you are deeply engrossed therein. Nor is hidden from your Lord (so much as) the weight of an atom on the earth or in heaven. And not the least and not the greatest of these things but are recorded in a clear Record.
''O our Lord! truly You do know what we conceal and what we reveal: for nothing whatever is hidden from Allah, whether on earth or in heaven.
Even if We opened out to them a gate from heaven, and they were to continue (all day) ascending therein,
''It may be that my Lord will give me something better than your garden, and that He will send on your garden thunderbolts (by way of reckoning) from heaven, making it (but) slippery sand! -
Being true in faith to Allah, and never assigning partners to Him: if anyone assigns partners to Allah, he is as if he had fallen from heaven and been snatched up by birds, or the wind had swooped (like a bird on its prey), and thrown him into a far-distant place.
The Day the heaven shall be rent asunder with clouds, and angels shall be sent down, descending (in ranks),
Those are the ones who will be rewarded with the highest place in heaven, because of their patient constancy: therein shall they be met with salutations and peace,
Or, who originates Creation, then repeats it, and who gives you sustenance from heaven and earth? (Can there be another) god besides Allah? Say, ''Bring forth your argument, if you are telling the truth!''
