You Pharisees and teachers of the Law of Moses are in for trouble! You're nothing but show-offs. You travel over land and sea to win one follower. And when you have done so, you make that person twice as fit for hell as you are.
If your foot causes you to sin, chop it off. You would be better off to go into life lame than to have two feet and be thrown into hell.

When it is said to him, ''Fear Allah,'' he is led by arrogance to (more) crime. Enough for him is Hell; - an evil bed indeed (to lie on)!
Say to those who reject Faith: ''Soon will you be vanquished and gathered together to Hell, - an evil bed indeed (to lie on)!
Is the man who follows the good pleasure of Allah like the man who draws on himself the wrath of Allah, and whose abode is in Hell?- a woeful refuge!
Little is it for enjoyment: their ultimate abode is Hell: what an evil bed (to lie on)!
Some of them believed, and some of them averted their faces from him: and enough is Hell for a burning fire.
If a man kills a Believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell, to abide therein (for ever): and the wrath and the curse of Allah are upon him, and a dreadful penalty is prepared for him.
When angels take the souls of those who die in sin against their souls, they say: ''In what (plight) were you?'' They reply: ''Weak and oppressed were we in the earth.'' They say: ''Was not the earth of Allah spacious enough for you to move yourselves away (from evil)?'' Such men will find their abode in Hell, - what an evil Refuge! -
If anyone contends with the Messenger even after guidance has been plainly conveyed to him, and follows a path other than that becoming to men of Faith, We shall leave him in the path he has chosen, and land him in Hell, - what an evil refuge!
They (his dupes) will have their dwelling in Hell, and from it they will find no way of escape.
Already He has sent you Word in the Book, that when you hear the Signs of Allah held in defiance and ridicule, you are not to sit with them unless they turn to a different theme: if you did, you would be like them. For Allah will collect the Hypocrites and those who defy Faith - all in Hell; -
Except the way of Hell, to dwell therein for ever. And this to Allah is easy.
Those who reject faith and deny Our Signs will be Companions of Hell-fire.
But those who reject Faith and belie Our Signs, - they shall be Companions of Hell-fire.
(Allah) said: ''Get out from this, disgraced and expelled. If any of them follow you, I will fill Hell with you all.
For them there is Hell, as a couch (below) and folds and folds of covering above: such is Our requital of those who do wrong.
Many are the Jinns and men We have made for Hell: they have hearts wherewith they understand not, eyes wherewith they see not, and ears wherewith they hear not. They are like cattle, - nay more misguided: for they are heedless (of warning).
If any do turn his back to them on such a day - unless it be in a stratagem of war, or to retreat to a troop (of his own) - he draws on himself the wrath of Allah, and his abode is Hell, - an evil refuge (indeed)!
The Unbelievers spend their wealth to hinder (men) from the path of Allah, and so will they continue to spend; but in the end they will have (only) regrets and sighs; at length they will be overcome: and the Unbelievers will be gathered together to Hell;-
In order that Allah may separate the impure from the pure, put the impure, one on another, heap them together, and cast them into Hell. They will be the ones to have lost.
On the Day when heat will be produced out of that (wealth) in the fire of Hell, and with it will be branded their foreheads, their flanks, and their backs. - ''This is the (treasure) which you buried for yourselves: you then taste the (treasures) you buried!''
