The Angel blew his trumpet
After this, I (John) looked and saw a door that opened into heaven. Then the voice that had spoken to me at first and that sounded like a trumpet said: “Come up here! I will show you what must happen next.” Right then the Spirit took control of me…Revelation 4: 1-2
(Then)… the first angel blew his trumpet… the second angel blew his trumpet… the third angel blew his trumpet.
Revelation 8: 7, 8, 10
Then the sixth angel blew his trumpet. The four angels had been prepared for this very hour and day and month and year. Now they were set free to kill a third of all people. Revelation 9: 13, 15
Cry and weep! The day is coming when the mighty LORD will bring destruction. All people will be terrified. Hands will grow limp; courage will melt away. Everyone will tremble with pain like a woman giving birth; they will stare at each otherwith horror on their faces. I, the LORD, will show no mercy or pitywhen that time comes. In my anger I will destroythe earthand every sinnerwho lives on it. Isaiah 13: 6-9
It will be an awful time for women who are expecting babies or nursing young children! Everywhere in the land people will suffer horribly… Luke 21: 23
Sun darkened
Then the sky was rolled up like a scroll… Revelation 6: 14
I will make the sky tremble… Light will disappearfrom the stars in the sky; the dawning sun will turn dark, and the moonwill lose its glow. Isaiah 13: 13, 10
“The sun will become dark, and the moonwill no longer shine. The stars will fall, and the powers in the sky will be shaken.”
Matthew 24: 29
The sun turned as dark as sackcloth, and the moon became as red as blood. The stars in the sky fell to earth, just like figs shaken loose by a windstorm. Revelation 6: 12-13
…a third of the sun, a third of the moon, and a third of the stars were struck. They each lost a third of their light. So during a third of the day there was no light, and a third of the night was also without light. Revelation 8: 12
That terrible day has come! God and the Lamb will show their anger, and who can face it?” Revelation 6: 17
Earthquakes and famines
(Jesus said:)There will be earthquakes in many places, and people will starve to death. But this is just the beginning of troubles. Mark 13: 8
This will be the worst time of suffering since God created the world, and nothing this terrible will ever happen again. Mark 13: 19
When I (John) saw the Lamb open the sixth seal, I looked and saw a great earthquake. Revelation 6: 12
After this, the angel filled the incense container with fire from the altar and threw it on the earth. Thunder roared, lightning flashed, and the earth shook. Revelation 8: 5
… and all mountains and islands were moved from their places. Revelation 6: 14
The kings of the earth, its famous people, and its military leaders hid in caves or behind rocks on the mountains. They hid there together with the rich and the powerful and with all the slaves and free people. Revelation 6: 15
Fire, blood and poisoned water
I (Jesus) came to set fire to the earth.
Luke 12: 49
When the first angel blew his trumpet, hail and fire mixed with blood were thrown down on the earth. A third of the earth, a third of the trees, and a third of all green plants were burned. When the second angel blew his trumpet, something like a great fiery mountain was thrown into the sea. A third of the sea turned to blood, a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed. Revelation 8: 7-9
Plagues and sores
The first angel emptied his bowl on the earth. At once ugly and painful sores broke out on everyone who had the mark of the beast and worshiped the idol. The fourth angel emptied his bowl on the sun, and it began to scorch people like fire. Everyone was scorched by its great heat…
Revelation 16: 2, 8-9
When the fifth angel blew his trumpet… Locusts came out of the smoke and covered the earth. The locusts were told not to harm the grass on the earth or any plant or any tree. They were to punish only those people who did not have God's mark on their foreheads. The locusts were allowed to make them suffer for five months, but not to kill them. In those days people will want to die, but they will not be able to. They will hope for death, but it will escape from them. Revelation 9: 1, 3-6
Here is my warning for everyone who hears the prophecies in this book: If you add anything to them, God will make you suffer all the terrible troubles written in this book. Revelation 22: 18
Warriors of the Lord
The LORD has commanded his very best warriors and his proud heroes to show how angry he is... The LORD All-Powerful is bringing togetheran army for battle... the LORD is coming fierce and furious – he brings his weapons to destroy the earth. Isaiah 13: 3-5
Do you think that I came to bring peace to earth? No indeed! I came to make people choose sides. A family of five will be divided, with two of them against the other three. Fathers and sons will turn against one another, and mothers and daughters will do the same. Luke 12: 51-53
Nations will go to war against one another, and kingdoms will attack each other.
Luke 21: 10
A war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels were fighting against the dragon... Revelation 12: 7
Then another horse came out. It was fiery red. And its rider was given the power to take away all peace from the earth, so that people would slaughter one another. He was also given a big sword. Revelation 6: 4
The return of Jesus
As I continued to watch the vision that night, I saw what looked like a son of man…and his kingdom is eternal, never to be destroyed. Daniel 7: 13-14
Then the Son of Man will be seen coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
Mark 13: 26
The coming of the Son of Man will be like lightning that can be seen from east to west. Matthew 24: 27
Look! He is coming with the clouds. Everyone will see him, even the ones who stuck a sword through him. Revelation 1: 7
The graves open
So tell them: “I, the LORD God, promise to open your graves and set you free. I will bring you back to Israel, and when that happens, you will realize that I am the LORD. My Spirit will give you breath, and you will live again.” Ezekiel 37: 12-14
The sea gave up the dead people who were in it, and death and its kingdom also gave up their dead. Revelation 20: 13
Many of those who lie dead in the ground will rise from death. Some of them will be given eternal life, and others will receive nothing but eternal shame and disgrace. Daniel 12: 2
The dead judged
I, the LORD,will show no mercy or pitywhen that time comes. In my anger I will destroy the earth and every sinner who lives on it. I will punish this evil world and its people because of their sins. I will crush the horrible prideof those who are cruel.
Isaiah 13: 9, 11
I saw a great white throne with someone sitting on it. Earth and heaven tried to run away, but there was no place for them to go. I also saw all the dead people standing in front of that throne. Every one of them was there, no matter who they had once been… The dead were judged by what those books said they had done. Revelation 20: 11-13
The Book of Life
All those who truly respected the LORD and honoured his name started discussing these things, and when God saw what was happening, he had their names written as a reminder in his book. Malachi 3: 16
And your people who have their names written in The Book will be protected.
Daniel 12: 1
Several books were opened, and then the book of life was opened. The dead were judged by what those books said they had done. Revelation 20: 12
Anyone whose name wasn't written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire. Revelation 20: 15
Sheep and goats
Then everyone will once again see the difference between those who obey me by doing right and those who reject me by doing wrong. Malachi 3: 18
The people of all nations will be brought before him, and he will separate them, as shepherds separate their sheep from their goats. He will place the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. Matthew 25: 32-33
Angels will come and separate the evil people from the ones who have done right. Then those evil people will be thrown into a flaming furnace, where they will cry and grit their teeth in pain. Matthew 13: 49-50
I saw thrones, and sitting on those thrones were the ones who had been given the right to judge. I also saw the souls of the people who had their heads cut off because they had told about Jesus and preached God's message… They will come to life and rule with Christ for a thousand years. No other dead people were raised to life until a thousand years later. Revelation 20: 4, 6
Reward or punishment
Now the time has come for the dead to be judged. It is time for you to reward your servants the prophets and all of your people who honour your name, no matter who they are. It is time to destroy everyone who has destroyed the earth.” Revelation 11: 18
Angels will come and… those evil people will be thrown into a flaming furnace, where they will cry and grit their teeth in pain.
Matthew 13: 49-50
But I will tell you what will happen to cowards and to everyone who is unfaithful or dirty-minded or who murders or is sexually immoral or uses witchcraft or worships idols or tells lies. They will be thrown into that lake of fire and burning sulphur. Revelation 21: 8
But nothing unworthy will be allowed to enter. No one who is dirty-minded or who tells lies will be there. Only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life... Revelation 21: 27
God will bless all who have washed their robes. They will each have the right to eat fruit from the tree that gives life, and they can enter the gates of the city.
Revelation 22: 14
God's home is now with his people… they will be his own. Yes, God will make his home among his people. Revelation 21: 3
Everyone who has been wise will shine as bright as the sky above, and everyone who has led others to please God will shine like the stars. Daniel 12: 3 |

The Day of the blast
Then, when one blast is sounded on the Trumpet, and the earth is moved, and its mountains, and they are crushed to powder at one stroke – On that Day shall the (Great) Event come to pass. And the sky will be rent asunder, for it will that Day be flimsy.
Surah 69: 13-16
The Day the heaven shall be rent asunder with clouds, and angels shall be sent down, descending (in ranks) – Surah 25: 25
When the sky is rent asunder, and hearkens to (the Command of) its Lord, and it must needs (do so);- And when the earth is flattened out, and casts forth what is within it and becomes (clean) empty, and hearkens to (the Command of) its Lord – and it must needs (do so);- Surah 84: 1-5
O mankind! fear your Lord! for the convulsion of the Hour (of Judgment) will be a thing terrible! Surah 22: 1
They ask thee about the Hour – 'When will be its appointed time? Wherein art thou (concerned) with the declaration thereof? With thy Lord in the Limit fixed therefor. Surah 79: 42-44
The (Day) of Noise and Clamour: What is the (Day) of Noise and Clamour? (It is) a Day whereon men will be like moths scattered about, and the mountains will be like carded wool. Surah 101: 1-3, 4-5
The Day ye shall see it, every mother giving suck shall forget her suckling- babe, and every pregnant female shall drop her load (unformed): Surah 22: 2
Heavens rolled up
The Day that We roll up the heavens like a scroll rolled up for books (completed)– Surah 21: 104
On the Day when the firmament will be in dreadful commotion. Surah 52: 9
Then when the stars become dim; When the heaven is cleft asunder; Surah 77: 8-9
The Day that the sky will be like molten brass, Surah 70: 8
When the Sky is cleft asunder; When the Stars are scattered; When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth; Surah 82: 1-3
When the sun (with its spacious light) is folded up; When the stars fall, losing their lustre; Surah 81: 1-2
At length, when the sight is dazed, and the moon is buried in darkness. And the sun and moon are joined together– That Day will Man say: “Where is the refuge?” By no means! No place of safety! Surah 75: 7-11
The Earth pulverised
When the earth is shaken to her (utmost) convulsion, and the earth throws up her burdens (from within), and man cries (distressed): 'What is the matter with her?' - On that Day will she declare her tidings: For that thy Lord will have given her inspiration. Surah 99: 1-5
Nay! When the earth is pounded to powder, and thy Lord cometh, and His angels, rank upon rank, Surah 89: 21-22
When the mountains vanish (like a mirage); Surah 81: 3
When the oceans boil over with a swell; Surah 81: 6
One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, followed by oft-repeated (commotions): Hearts that Day will be in agitation;
Surah 79: 6-8
(It is) a Day whereon men will be like moths scattered about, and the mountains will be like carded wool. Surah 101: 4-5
Fire as punishment
...fear the Fire whose fuel is men and stones – which is prepared for those who reject Faith. Surah 2: 24
But those who disobey Allah and His Messenger and transgress His limits will be admitted to a Fire, to abide therein:
Surah 4: 14
Those who reject Faith – neither their possessions nor their (numerous) progeny will avail them aught against Allah. They are themselves but fuel for the Fire. Surah 3: 10
“Our Lord! Give us salvation from the penalty of the Fire. “Our Lord! any whom Thou dost admit to the Fire, Truly Thou coverest with shame... Surah 3: 191-192
A grievous penalty
This is (true) Guidance and for those who reject the Signs of their Lord, is a grievous Penalty of abomination. Surah 45: 11
But those who strive against Our Signs, to frustrate them – for such will be a Penalty – a Punishment most humiliating. Surah 34: 5
Is it that there is a disease in their hearts? or do they doubt, or are they in fear, that Allah and His Messenger will deal unjustly with them? Nay, it is they themselves who do wrong. Surah 24: 50
In their hearts is a disease; and Allah has increased their disease: And grievous is the penalty they (incur), because they are false (to themselves). Surah 2: 10
Mischief has appeared on land and sea because of (the meed) that the hands of men have earned, that (Allah) may give them a taste of some of their deeds: in order that they may turn back (from Evil). Surah 30: 41
Division and emnity
At length, when there comes the Deafening Noise – That Day shall a man flee from his own brother, and from his mother and his father, and from his wife and his children. Surah 80: 33-36
Friends on that day will be foes, one to another - except the Righteous. My devotees! no fear shall be on you that Day, nor shall ye grieve – Surah 43: 67-68
By the (Steeds) that run, with panting (breath), and strike sparks of fire, and push home the charge in the morning, and raise the dust in clouds the while, and penetrate forthwith into the midst (of the foe) en masse;- Truly man is, to his Lord, ungrateful; And to that (fact) he bears witness (by his deeds); And violent is he in his love of wealth. Does he not know – when that which is in the graves is scattered abroad and that which is (locked up) in (human) breasts is made manifest - That their Lord had been Well-acquainted with them, (even to) that Day? Surah 100: 1-11
Jesus as witness
Nay! When the earth is pounded to powder, and thy Lord cometh, and His angels, rank upon rank, Surah 89: 21-22
Will they wait until Allah comes to them in canopies of clouds, with angels (in His train)... Surah 2: 210
...Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah... Allah raised him up unto Himself... Surah 4: 157-158
...on the Day of Judgment he will be a witness against them;- Surah 4: 159
The dead are raised
And when the Graves are turned upside down;- (Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back. Surah 82: 4-5
“When we are (actually) dust, shall we indeed then be in a creation renewed?” Surah 13: 6
Does man think that We cannot assemble his bones? Nay, We are able to put together in perfect order the very tips of his fingers. Surah 75: 3-4
From the (earth) did We create you, and into it shall We return you, and from it shall We bring you out once again. Surah 20: 55
... as to the dead, Allah will raise them up; then will they be turned unto Him.
Surah 6: 36
The Day of Judgement
(Allah is) Master of the Day of Judgment. Surah 1: 4
That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! Surah 77: 38
Then shall we question those to whom Our message was sent and those by whom We sent it. Surah 7: 6
Then, he whose balance (of good deeds) will be (found) heavy, will be in a life of good pleasure and satisfaction. But he whose balance (of good deeds) will be (found) light– will have his home in a (bottomless) Pit. Surah 101: 6-9
Then shall anyone who has done an atom's weight of good, see it! And anyone who has done an atom's weight of evil, shall see it. Surah 99: 7-8
The record of deeds
And all things have We preserved on record. Surah 78: 29
On the Day of Judgment We shall bring out for him a scroll, which he will see spread open. (It will be said to him:) “Read thine (own) record: Sufficient is thy soul this day to make out an account against thee.”
Surah 17: 13-14
And the Book (of Deeds) will be placed (before you); and thou wilt see the sinful in great terror because of what is (recorded) therein; they will say: “Ah! woe to us! what a Book is this! It leaves out nothing small or great, but takes account thereof!” They will find all that they did, placed before them: And not one will thy Lord treat with injustice. Surah 18: 49
The Right and the Left
On that Day will men proceed in companies sorted out, to be shown the deeds that they (had done). Surah 99: 6
When the Event inevitable cometh to pass... And ye shall be sorted out into three classes. Then (there will be) the Companions of the Right Hand;- What will be the Companions of the Right Hand? Surah 56: 1, 7-8
Then he who is given his Record in his right hand, soon will his account be taken by an easy reckoning, But he who is given his Record behind his back – Soon will he cry for perdition, Surah 84: 7-8, 10-11
And the Companions of the Left Hand – what will be the Companions of the Left Hand? Surah 56: 9
But those who reject Our Signs, they are the (unhappy) Companions of the Left Hand. On them will be Fire vaulted over (all round). Surah 90: 19-20
And those Foremost (in Faith) will be Foremost (in the Hereafter). These will be those Nearest to Allah. In Gardens of Bliss: Surah 56: 10-12
Hell or Paradise
When the Blazing Fire is kindled to fierce heat; And when the Garden is brought near;- (Then) shall each soul know what it has put forward. Surah 81: 12-14
The Day when man shall remember (all) that he strove for, and Hell-Fire shall be placed in full view for (all) to see – Then, for such as had transgressed all bounds, and had preferred the life of this world, the Abode will be Hell-Fire; Surah 79: 35—39
The Fire will burn their faces, and they will therein grin, with their lips displaced.
Surah 23: 104
And other faces that Day will be dust-stained, Blackness will cover them:
Surah 80: 40-41
And for such as had entertained the fear of standing before their Lord's (tribunal) and had restrained (their) soul from lower desires, their abode will be the Garden. Surah 79: 40-41
Those who invoke not... any other god, nor slay such life as Allah has made sacred except for just cause. Surah 25: 68
For them will be a home of peace in the presence of their Lord: He will be their friend... Surah 6: 127
Some faces that Day will be beaming, Laughing, rejoicing. Surah 80: 38-39
Some faces, that Day, will beam (in brightness and beauty);- Looking towards their Lord; Surah 75: 22-23 |
